FreeStyle_InsuLinx_meterAbbott Laboratories is recalling its FreeStyle InsuLinx Blood Glucose Meters after finding that they display and store incorrect test results for dangerously high blood sugar levels.

For example, at rare, extremely high blood glucose levels (56.8 mmol/L and above), the FreeStyle InsuLinx Blood Glucose Meter may provide an inaccurate reading.

Abbott said customers with the meter should contact its diabetes care customer service or download a software update that resolves the issue.
